Venture Dynamics is looking for a Machine Shop Manager.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Lead, coach and mentor team members

• Plans and coordinates work center schedules and manpower requirements according to job requirements

• Leads and conducts formal problem-solving training and activities

• Reviews relative production reports (productivity, quality, budget, etc) and initiates corrective actions when appropriate

• Utilizes visual / shop floor management communications for daily operations

• Identifies continuous improvement opportunities to maximize efficiency and productivity of production workers, improve product quality, and reduce costs

• Ensures in-process controls are routinely followed to verify product quality standards are met

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety regulations.\

Required Qualifications:

• Strong Leadership/Management Skills

• Working knowledge in CNC programming

• CNC & Manual Machining Experience

• Quality Control/Assurance inspection processes.

• Strong communication skills (verbal/written)

• Manufacturing experience/expertise

• Active clearance or ability to obtain one

• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

• Metal Fabrication understanding

Desired Qualifications:

• 10+ years of machine shop experience, 5 years in supervisory role

• Familiarity with Shipbuilding Industry

• Experience in job shop environment

• CAM/CAD experience

• Knowledge in continuous improvement & lean manufacturing

Pay will be commensurate with experience.
