Structural Welder Ship Repair Industry

Pay: $30/hr (Local Only)
Shift: 1st and 2nd Shift Available

Job Description:
We are seeking skilled Structural Welders to join our team for ship repair and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multiple welding processes and capable of performing high-quality welds on various types of steel used in ship construction and repair.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG, Stick, and Flux Core (FCAW) welding on mild and high-tensile steels (HY80 / HY100).

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols accurately.

• Fit, align, and weld structural components such as bulkheads, frames, and decks.

• Ensure all welds meet NAVSEA standards.

• Follow all safety and environmental procedures in compliance with shipyard regulations.

• Work independently or as part of a team in confined or elevated spaces.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of structural welding experience in the ship repair or shipbuilding industry.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Must pass both a written test and a hands-on welding test (Flux Core, Stick, or MIG).

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various shipyard environments.

• Must follow all safety standards and PPE requirements.
