Position: Inside Machinist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inside Machinist to join our team. The Inside Machinist will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems on board ships and vessels. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform maintenance and repair work on mechanical equipment and systems, including pumps, valves, engines, and other machinery

- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and develop solutions to resolve them

- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

- Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks

- Operate and maintain shop equipment, such as lathes, drills, and grinders

- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on board ships and vessels

- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget

- Keep detailed records of work performed and materials used

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Inside Machinist in a marine or industrial setting

- Knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, valves, engines, and hydraulics

- Familiarity with technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics

- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision

- Ability to work in a team environment and follow directions

- Willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
